The Foundation Process: From Groundwork to Grid
1.Excavation & Trenching: Phase 1.
Following the architectural plan, the site is precisely dug out to the required depth. Trenches are cut for the footings, which will bear the primary structural load of the entire build.
2.Formwork & Moisture Barriers: Phase 2.
Temporary wooden or metal molds (formwork) are erected to outline the foundation walls. A heavy-duty vapor barrier is laid down across the dirt to prevent subterranean moisture from migrating up into the concrete.
3.Steel Rebar Reinforcement: Phase 3.
Before any concrete is poured, a dense structural grid of steel rebar is tied together inside the forms. This reinforcement gives the concrete its tensile strength, allowing it to flex under stress without cracking.
4.The Pour & Cure: Phase 4.
Concrete is poured smoothly into the formwork and leveled using precision leveling tools. The forms are left in place while the concrete undergoes a strict curing process, allowing it to reach maximum structural density and strength.
